Volunteering

Is it right for me?

Resolutions Hospice continues to provide life changing service throughout Austin and Cedar Park, Bastrop. Volunteers are invited to continue in person visits to work with our Volunteer Coordinator to contribute support to the community. Safety equipment is offered as an option to all volunteers completing in-person visits.

You can make a difference

Support our community

Volunteers are an important part of the patient’s hospice care team. Volunteers provide companionship visits for patients. These visits may include talking with patients, reading to them, doing crafts, taking them outside in their wheelchair, providing respite to a caregiver, playing cards or board games, and sometimes simply sitting quietly next to a patient’s bed. We are always looking for compassionate, caring people who would like to give of themselves in this capacity.

So many ways to help our community
Companionship
Respite care for family members and other caregivers
Massage, music or pet therapy, healing touch or other alternative therapies
Bereavement support

Join our team of volunteers!

At Resolutions Hospice, we thoroughly interview our volunteers and provide training before they are allowed to help patients. This helps us find the best fit for each of our patient’s needs. Our volunteers become an important part of the patient’s care team. Volunteers do not need to have a medical background, meaning anyone can join!
